network security field
What route should I take on my journey to become a Network Security Specialist?
These past 6 months have been a real tough time for me. Currently I’m unemployed and I desperately want to go back to school to learn to become a network security specialist. Would Heald college be a good choice since they specialize in that trade and it will take less time to complete? Or would going to community college, then transferring out to a 4 year college to learn even more about the trade in the hopes of a higher salary be a better option, even though it would be longer? Or would community college be enough of an education? I’m just so frustrated right now, I don’t know which direction to take and I’m running out of time. Please, if anyone is in the network security field give me some suggestions as to which is the best career path. Also which certifications should I obtain? I will greatly appreciate your answers.
P.S. I live in Fremont, CA not too far from Silicon Valley.
You can try Devry that is a great school for computers.
