Hi, I’m a novice computer engineer working in Japan.
Can someone explain to me why information security management is becoming such a big issue these days?
I understand the necessity of protecting corporate electronic data from unauthorized access, but is that so difficult?
(1) build a safe network
(2) update software often
(3) make security guidelines. educate staff so that they follow them.
These measures seems simple and easy.
If so, why are companies spending millions of dollars on security products and on security experts?
well there are a lot of different levels of safety.
Passwords can be broken, sites can be found, and hackers can get into many sites
